We’re ‘Safer Events’ Accredited
It’s fair to say the Coronavirus pandemic is proving particularly challenging for the events and hospitality sectors.
But never one to rest on our laurels, while things have been much quieter over the last few months than we would have liked at Zanna HQ, we’ve been using our time wisely to gem up on how we can best support our clients going forwards. Whether that’s small-scale events they’d like to organise now, or bigger events they are planning in the future.
To that end, we recently completed Hirespace’s ‘Safer Events Organiser Accreditation Course.’ An online training programme, the course gave us all the information we need to help our clients plan and put on safer events.
The course was split into four sections:
1. The science behind Covid-19 risk
2. Current Government guidelines in the UK and other countries
3. The measures - delegate & staff screening, staff training, social distancing, PPE, sterilisation and cleaning, hybrid event provision & food & beverage
4. Event organiser responsibilities - preparation, on the day & after the event

The course was incredibly valuable, helping us to educate ourselves on the virus and broadening our understanding of what steps we should help our clients to put in place in order to host safe events, and that also provide the necessary reassurances for delegates.
Once we had completed all the training modules, we undertook an online assessment and were really pleased to pass. Our certificate of completion will take pride of place in the Zanna office.
Now that we’re armed with even more knowledge, we’re looking forward to putting this into practice and helping our clients plan their next events, in line with Covid-19 guidelines of course.
