I’ve just returned from 5 nights at the stunning 5-star NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento Di Amalfi situated on the beautiful Amalfi Coast, Italy.
I flew into Naples Airport and it was approximately just over an hour transfer to the hotel, it was lovely to see the beautiful scenery and views en-route.
The hotel took my breath away when I arrived. It’s situated on the hillside, nestled on a cliff 80 meters above the sea level, overlooking the spectacular Mediterranean of the Amalfi Coast, and just a short walk from the historic centre of the city and harbour.
The hotel is full of history located in an ancient monastery of the twelfth century. Inside there is a charming Arab-Norman cloister, its magnificent “Loggia” and the “Walk of the Monks”, a path which offers a spectacular view, probably the most painted views in the world.
The hotel has been totally renovated and offers a panoramic restaurant, swimming pool, wellness & fitness centre, chapel and private parking.
All 53 bedrooms are furnished with lovely white furniture, very minimalistic and all with sea views.
You can sit outside on the terrace to have your breakfast which is buffet style offering a lovely selection of fresh fruit, hot dishes, homemade bread & cakes and fresh juices along with prosecco!
It certainly is a hotel I can recommend for any incentive trip – the staff, food and service is out of this world and a hotel and destination you would want to return to.
