Last week Zanna Events attended the re-launch of Oakley Hall with special guest Richard E Grant who added an extra touch of glamour.
With its sweeping driveway, pretty tiled hallway and an impressive walnut-panelled library overlooking the large south-facing terrace, Oakley Hall is a hidden treasure set in 315 acres of the North Hampshire countryside.
Built in 1795 Oakley Hall has a distinguished and fascinating past. Formerly owned by the Bramston Family who were close friends of Jane Austen It is mentioned fondly in Austen’s letters to her sister Cassandra.
This year the venue underwent a major restoration project which has seen Oakley Hall returned to its full glory. The hotel offers 50 luxurious bedrooms all with contemporary facilities. Some rooms have a private terrace overlooking the landscaped gardens and include Algotherm toiletries in the en-suite.
Courtyard rooms are also available and have been created in the converted 19th century stable block. All bedrooms have been individually designed and furnished to a very high standard.
Within the main house, there is a choice of elegant function rooms that includes a permanent marquee available for meetings. All meeting rooms have natural daylight, air conditioning, WIFI and can accommodate from as few as two people right up to 100 guests or more.
The elegant 2 AA Rosette Glasshouse Restaurant is a relaxed place to dine and uses locally sourced produce. Oakley Hall exudes the character and charm you would expect of a period country property.
