On Friday 16th June Zanna Events hosted a client event at the luxury five-star hotel The Grove, London’s Country Estate.
Part of the Leading Hotels of the World, The Grove is set in 300 acres of Hertfordshire countryside in the south of England and only 18 miles from central London. The former home of the Earls of Clarendon is also situated just 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport and is easily accessible from the M25, M1 and Watford Junction rail station making it an ideal setting for traveling delegates both nationally and internationally.
To kick the event off we welcomed our guests with a glass of champagne in one of the private Lounges. As it was a sunny evening we had a walking tour of the hotel and a relaxed drink in the beautifully manicured garden whilst watching private helicopters flying in and out of the hotel dropping guests off.
The Grove has 215 spacious and luxury rooms bedrooms overlooking the grounds and beyond. In addition, there are a variety of elegant meeting rooms making it the perfect hotel conference venue for meetings and corporate events for up to 450 guests.
As well as the meeting rooms we had a look around some of the outdoor event spaces. The Potting Shed for example which is full of antiques from Provence and England, has a dedicated and unique dining area. A twist on the Potting Shed experience is that the fine dining chefs can teach you how to prepare and cook one of your courses; a great bonding and team-building experience.
For something a bit different you can enjoy a barbecue on a beach. The urban beach and outdoor pool in the Walled Garden is a hidden oasis within the 300 acres is the perfect place for an informal get together. You can run a Barbecue master class for your delegates and with mountains of food and heaps of camaraderie, a barbecue is a great way to round up a corporate day on the golf course.
There is more. There are three restaurants including Colette’s fine dining in the heart of the 18th Century mansion. We dined in The Glasshouse Restaurant; The hotel’s international buffet restaurant. The Grove have taken the idea of buffet dining to a whole new level and we were able to watch the chefs prepare each dish from scratch, across nine different stations – from traditional roast beef to wok stations and from seafood to tapas. Not to mention dessert!
With a championship golf resort, an award-winning spa and the option to do as much or as little as you like, The Grove is a unique venue and I would recommend it for meetings, weddings and celebrations.
